These days, everybody needs a website. Whether it’s for your growing business or a passion project, having a website is important for being the online face of your brand.
You need a website that will:
- grow your audience
- establish trust with potential customers
- increase your sales
You want a website that will:
- clearly communicate your message
- illustrate who you are
- explain exactly what you do
So how do you go about making all of that happen?
You shouldn’t have to become a web designer before you can start selling your products or services.
There’s a fair chance you would be able to piece something together using a website builder of some sort. The question is…do you have the time and patience to deal with the learning curve of new software? Many of my clients have hired me after already wasting hours and hours of time trying to customize their website and realizing they aren’t happy with how it turned out.
P.S. This is one of things I discuss in my FREE mini course, How To Find the Right Web Designer –> SIGN UP HERE
Working with a web designer will give you the flexibility to customize every aspect of your website so it will be as unique as your brand.
Using a website builder can be tempting because of their user-friendly interface. Just remember that everyone else has access to these same templates, meaning there’s a high change your website is going to look like a LOT of other websites on the web. Having a completely custom, eye-catching website is the best way to stand out online. A good web designer will work with you to create a design that is truly representative of your brand.
Save money in the long run.
I’m just going to come right out and say it. If you skimp on the initial cost of building your website there is a decent chance you’ll end up paying for it later on. Working with a website builder might seem like a more affordable way to go in the beginning. But when you add up the monthly subscription fees plus the cost of extra or add-on features, it starts to add up pretty quick, especially because these fees continue in perpetuity (picked up that fancy word from Shark Tank!).
Hiring a web designer from the beginning might be a larger investment upfront, but after a couple years it will have evened out. AND you will have a finished product that is 100% custom to your brand with all of the features that you need, many of which will not even be available in all website builders. Also don’t forget the time you saved by handing off the work to someone else.
