Online Business Tools + Resources for Solopreneurs

My favorite Business Tools + Resources for creative entrepreneurs |

This is where I’m gathering anything that inspires me, helps me in business, creativity, and more! Please note that this page does contain some partner links, meaning if you make a purchase a product I will get a small referral bonus – at no extra cost to you. I only recommend tools and products that I use for my own business and believe in 100%.

Email List Building

ConvertKit – My absolute favorite email marketing provider. I love how easy it is to set up and keep track of subscribers with segments and tags. Their automation features are also very robust. Read about why I switched from MailChimp to ConvertKit here.

Your First 1K helped learn how to grow my email list, create an opt-in freebie and grow my email list exponentially. I used to be so confused about how to get started with email marketing, but Mariah’s course totally made it possible for me – highly recommended!

30-Day List Building Challenge – helps you build your email list with a new tactic each day for a month. This challenge is super thorough and the best part is that it’s totally free.

Social Media Tips

BoardBooster – This tool is an absolute necessity for growing your Pinterest following (and getting more traffic to your site). It helps you schedule and loop pins on Pinterest which can save you HOURS every week. It takes a little time to set it up and configured the way you want, but once that’s done you only have to spend about 30 minutes a week pinning. Use my link to get your first month (500 pins) free!

Later (previously Latergramme) – Schedule Instagram posts ahead of time! Use this app to batch create/write a bunch of posts at once so you’re not scrambling each day trying to figure out what to post. It also lets you preview your feed which helps so much when trying to decide what to post each day.

The Gram Gang Instagram Challenge is totally free and provides tons of great ideas for creating great content for Instagram, including photography tips and hashtag prompts.

Blogging Tips

Dare to Blog – A free course that will teach you everything you need to know to get your blog up and running successfully.

Productivity & Organization

Dashlane – Never forget another password! If you have a million website usernames and passwords to remember, use this browser extension to remember them all for you. It’s encrypted to protect your sensitive data and it syncs to all of your devices. SUCH a time saver!

Asana – The perfect tool for managing all of your tasks, organizing them according to project/client, setting due dates and keeping files in the right place.

Acuity Scheduling – Lets clients book an appointment with you without all of the emailing back and forth about schedules.

Evernote – My all-time favorite notes app. I’ve been using it for over 7 years now to keep track of everything from client documents, my recipe archive, vacation plans and journaling!

Tools for Web Designers

InVision – InVision is a valuable tool during the design phase. Leave questions and respond to comments within the app, directly on the area of the design you’re referring to. Click here to get 3 months free!

SkyFonts – Enables you to download web fonts to use on your computer to use in your favorite design software

Font Awesome – Embed icons into your website as a font making it easy to adjust their size and and hover color without using images or sprites!

Hosting, Domain Names & Email Addresses

Flywheel Hosting – Flywheel is hands down the best hosting company I’ve worked with. Fast site speed, super secure and amazing customer service. I use Flywheel for my own sites and recommend it to all of my clients!

Shared Hosting – If you’re not concerned about security or backups, then shared hosting is another (cheaper) option. I usually recommend Blue Host to my clients because I have experience using their services and have generally had good experience with their customer service. They have hosting specifically for WordPress which cuts out a lot of the “techie stuff” that you would have to do when setting up a brand new WordPress website.

HostGator also provides shared hosting for reasonable prices. Click here to save up to 30% on all new hosting packages with code: SNAPPYDAY.

Gmail for Business – Do you love gmail but want to still have a professional email address with your domain name? Sign up for GSuite Gmail and get all of the perks of regular gmail plus 24/7 support, twice as much storage as a regular gmail account, and the extra security layer of 2-step authentication. You’ll also have unlimited group email addresses so everyone on your team can have a professional business email address.
